“Is That God…Or My Own Thoughts?” Hearing God & Making Wise Choices
Kim Quigley I Choir Room
Ever wondered how people say they “hear from God” — and if that’s even real for you? This workshop is a safe, judgment-free space to explore what hearing from God actually looks like in everyday life. We’ll talk about how to recognize God’s voice without feeling weird or fake, and how to tell the difference between God's voice, your own thoughts and emotions, pressure from friends, and social media noise.

Sent Ones - Step into God’s Global Story
Jesh Beadle I Fireside Room
Faith calls us to be courageous SENT ONES! God Himself is a sending God, and He’s inviting you to step in and be part of His global story. Come explore His heart for the world, hear what He’s doing across the globe, and see how your skills, gifts, and your “yes” can make a real impact. We’ll dive into the Bible, try interactive activities, and check out real life examples of people living on mission so you can see how you can be a sent one, locally and globally. Get ready to be inspired, challenged, and equipped to live blessed to be a blessing.

The Ache of Change and Everyday Losses, Where Is Jesus?
Cindy Tobar I Chapel
Grief isn’t just about death, it's the ache of change, transition, and everyday losses that shape our lives. Grief is something everyone goes through, and it’s tough. Whether you’re dealing with your own loss or trying to support a friend who’s hurting, it can feel overwhelming figuring out how to navigate it.
We’ll look at how Scripture speaks to grief, how Jesus responds to people in pain, and what that means for us today. Students will gain hands-on skills to show up with compassion and courage, building confidence and emotional strength for themselves while also learning to support their friends.

Youth Pastors, God Loves You…Come Connect with Doug
Doug Frederick I Room 114
This one is for all youth pastors and group point leaders. Ministry can be full, challenging, and deeply meaningful. None of us are meant to do it alone. The BCYD is morphing towards a significant change and pivot in a way that we believe will strengthen and encourage our youth pastors and leaders. We listened, and now we are responding. In this conversation, Doug will share the key shifts we’re making to better support you as a youth pastor and leader. He’ll also spend time connecting with you and discussing how we can better care for one another in ministry. Come hang out, connect, and be part of the conversation. Snacks included!
Audience: Youth pastors and group point leaders
Why Worship?
Laura Bidell I North Aud.
Why do we sing? Why do we lift our hands? Why does worship actually matter? In this session, we’ll get real about the why behind worship — who it’s for, what it does in us, and why it’s more than just a
setlist. We’ll talk about heart, authenticity, and staying grounded while serving on a team, plus some practical tools you can use right away to lead worship with purpose and confidence.

So, You Want to Be a Leader?
Mark Colwell I Gym
So, you want to be a leader? Amazing! We need leaders! We need them everywhere! We need them to represent Jesus in homes, neighbourhoods, churches, workplaces and nations. While there is a cost to lead, there is also grace and beauty. If your heart is to lead, God longs to shape you into a Kingdom-centred leader and lead you into life and purpose, that’s His heart for you! Let’s chat leadership, leading, and you as the leader.

How to Be a Youth Leader Your Youth Pastor Loves
Christian Brouwer I Conference Room
Let’s be honest—being “loved” isn’t the goal of leadership. But healthy leadership does involve support, trust, and teamwork. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to be leaders who encourage, communicate well, and partner effectively with our youth pastors so we can work together to make a meaningful impact in our communities.
